The online world has a host of resources to help develop and refine your striking but in the time of social media it can be hard do sift through the dirt to find gold. Here are sources that I trust and have spent time watching and learning from. I have broken our supplementary materials into 3 categories: Training, Breakdowns, and Highlights. All three of these will contain cross overs in subject matter but represent three ways of engaging with the sport. Things to do in the gym, why and how these techniques may work, and previous fighters and champions that we may want to emulate (think of these three categories as physical, mental, and spiritual training if you would).

Drill/Training

Bazooka Joe Valtellini - youtube.com/@bazookajoevaltellini - Former Glory Champion teaching drill and techniques.

Jeff Chan - youtube.com/@mmashredded - Former MMA fighter, travelling the world sharing his training experiences. Very mobile, interesting to see a movement oriented striker.

Sylvie Von Duuglas-Ittu - youtube.com/@8limbsUS - American Nak Muay living in Thailand. Mix of long and short form training sessions with former masters of the sport. Her Muay Thai Library (behind a paywall) is perhaps the single best online resource for striking. Interesting cultural and historical content is regularly featured in her content.

Stephen "Wonderboy" Thompson - youtube.com/@wonderboyMMA - American Kareteka that has competed at the highest levels in the UFC. The most accomplished karate fight since the Machida era his techniques and drill are a good look into the realm of traditional martial arts but still with a focus on fight applicability.

Icey Mike - youtube.com/@hard2hurt - Some classic youtube content like getting shot by less-than-lethal rounds, testing tear gas, but also has productive drills and concepts to bring to training. Often works with Jeff Chan as well as a regular stable of martial arts youtubers of varying quality.

Breakdowns

Jack Slack - youtube.com/JackSlack7768 - An English commentator focused on MMA but dabbles across the martial arts specrum. He has a background in karate and boxing but also trains BJJ as well. He does a regular podcast as well as tape studies and other types of breakdowns.

Lawrence Kenshin - youtube.com/@lawrencekenshin - Technical analysis in a similar vein to Jack Slack but focused entirely on striking (particularly Muay Thai and Kickboxing).

David Christian - youtube.com/@themodernmartialartist - Boxing oriented but contains MMA and Kickboxing striking videos. Generally shorter than Kenshin and Slack but lots of content.

Heavy Hands Podcast - Podcast is similar to Jack Slacks "Fights Gone-by" podcast. Looking at upcoming UFC fights as well as breakdowns of the previous weeks event.
